Nicely done in terms of the light Dietra. One thing you'll notice is that phone cameras have wide-angle lenses. And wide-angle lenses distort faces in a way that isn't necessarily complementary. To do a portrait well takes a telephoto lens… it gets you back from the subject and puts their features and to a more pleasing relationship. For instance in person I am sure her nose doesn't look quite so large but that is what a wide-angle lens does to people it makes things close to the camera pure large and things further way appear small… So do you see how small her ears are in relationship to her nose?
