The first one is a picture of the post, and a little crooked... the b and w edit is so so... it lacks a bottom end (rich blacks). The swan is a zoom in using a swipe... notice how that degraded the image... That is called digital zoom and it uses a small part of an already small sensor. The next image is more like it! The color version is not so interesting but then you got going with a dynamic b and w edit... the contrast and dramatic sky really bring this alive. Isolating the flag in color is okay but is more of a trick or special effect... I'm trying to teach straight photography and quality editing. The football field is the winning image of the group.
